Dispensary of Hope’s 2016 Dedication EventOn October 14, 2016, Dispensary of Hope hosted a Building Dedication event celebrating its growth, partnerships, and increased access to care. Many prominent healthcare figures were in attendance to show their support, including leaders from Ascension, Saint Thomas Health, Dispensary of Hope manufacturer partners, and current dispensing sites as well as U.S. Congressional representatives Marsha Blackburn and Buddy Carter. Several of Dispensary of Hope’s partners including Belmont University, Lipscomb University Colleges of Pharmacy, The University of Tennessee, the Advisory Board Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) were also in attendance.
Dispensary of Hope is a non-profit organization which began in Middle Tennessee in 2003 and has since expanded to over 100 dispensing sites in 25 states that distribute medications to over 31,000 low-income and uninsured patients. This organization provides outpatient pharmacies and charitable clinics across the United States with medications for patients with acute and chronic conditions. As a result of their fast expansion and impressive growth, Dispensary of Hope has moved into a new location just north of downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
Dispensary of Hope will continue to grow with the care of its innovative staff and generosity of healthcare partnerships that result in the delivery of quality based care and increased access to medication for vulnerable and underserved populations.
